Real Impact for Service Members in Your Workforce

As Veterans Day arrives, it’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to the mission we’ve set for ourselves at Friendly Forces. Over the past year, I’ve noticed a trend—when I share our content, the people who engage most often are other service members. They connect with our message, support our vision, and understand the importance of what we’re doing firsthand. Yet the ones we most need to reach—the HR leaders, the CSR professionals, the talent acquisition experts who can make meaningful changes in corporate policy—remain, for the most part, silent.

This disconnect reveals an issue that’s larger than just Friendly Forces. It points to a broader trend where many in corporate America express support for veterans, but when it comes to actionable, supportive policies, there is a gap. We, at Friendly Forces, are committed to closing that gap. Unlike many organizations that engage in feel-good rhetoric, our mission is to make an immediate, meaningful impact on those still serving and their families. We help employers create and sustain policies that actually alleviate the financial and emotional strain of service commitments on reservists, directly contributing to the military readiness and stability of our armed forces.

When corporate leaders look beyond marketing and engage with us, they join a movement that doesn’t just honor service members with words but supports them with action. We ensure that reservists can continue their mission abroad and here at home without sacrificing their family’s well-being or their civilian careers. This commitment matters not just for our military members but for our national security.

If you’re reading this and can influence change within your organization, this Veterans Day, I invite you to step forward. Connect with us at Friendly Forces—because it’s time to do more than observe Veterans Day. Let’s make the commitments that give real, lasting support to those who serve.

To all those currently serving: we see you, we value you, and we’re here to ensure that others do, too.
